Category: Maintenance

Motorcycle maintenance is important to keep your bike safe, reliable and to ensure that it lasts as long as you do. Most riders prefer that a motorcycle mechanic tends to the maintenance of their machines, but knowing how to keep your bike safe and running is a noble skill (art?).

The posts below all relate to keeping your bike running well and to keep you safe. The sense of achievement when you get your motorcycle running again after it failed on you is hard to describe.

Are you sure your motorcycle is safe to ride? Do you trust that your mechanic cares about your safety as much as you do? Get my FREE e-guide on how to ensure your bike is safe to ride.

About Us

Hey! I am Francois and I’ve loved anything with wheels since I can remember. When I was 25 a friend and I took our old XT500's on a short trip and I fell in love with adventure bike riding.

Shortly after getting married my wife and I rode from Cape to Cairo on 200 cc Chinese road bikes. It took us 90 days to cover the 15 500 km.

From time to time I write motorcycle reviews for sports magazines and the local newspapers and attend the odd bike launch when I have to opportunity.
