So the last video I left you with a crack in the axle lug on the right hand shock
0:07
which turned out to be the left hand shock. Anyways, we've made a plan and let's see if we can fix it
0:16
Hi, I'm Franzoff from Adventurebike troupe.com and in this video we are going to continue learning from my stupid mistakes
0:24
So I think I found part of the problem I really struggled in the last video to get the
0:29
axle through the lugs, the front wheel. I banged on it, I tried anything
0:35
it just wouldn't go all the way through. It went through the first half, but not the other side
0:41
And then on a photo, I ordered some second hand shocks on Facebook Marketplace
0:46
They look exactly the same. They've got adjusters that works. I've got rebound at this now
0:51
So that's awesome. There's no cracks in the lugs at the bottom. I even found one of those for Protector
0:57
the little holder that's slides in mine is broken the one so there's one of those so that was a good find but I saw on
1:06
the photos that the guy sent me that the disc break is on the left-hand side not on
1:10
the right so that made me think wait a minute maybe just maybe the hole the
1:18
thinner 19 it a 17 mil hole is slightly tapered so I measured it and it is so basically what I was trying to do was this it doesn work you have to stick it through the thick side
1:35
it doesn't work from the other side anyways that's my theory I did some measurements
1:39
it does look like it's a fraction of a millimeter thinner on the one side than the other so
1:45
we're going to swap it around and see if I'm going to get it through I'm going to fit the old
1:48
shots the one with the crack it's been ridden like that for years so I've heard so I'm
1:55
going to do that because I want to change the fork seals on the new to me ones and before
2:01
I fit them so we just want to get the bike to look like a bike so we're going to try to fit the
2:05
rear and the front wheel I struggled my ass off with the rear tire that's a whole
2:11
another story I tried to film it and then I once I got all the tire fitted to the rim I had
2:18
the rim lock in place, I realized that the valve is skewed and I couldn't get the thing to move
2:28
at all. Even if it was deflated, it doesn't move at all, even pushing in the rim lock
2:33
banging it with a hammer, nothing. So I had to take it off the rim again, move it slightly and
2:38
get it back on again. Anyways, it's on there and that's how we learn from my stupid mistakes. So let see if we can get this bike to look like a bike I mean one with two wheels I don mind holding my coffee
3:14
Okay, so I don't think the theory of the funnel was through
3:23
I think it's just difficult. Okay, so it kind of looks like a bike now and one thing that I've learned is if you don't have brakes on the bike
5:10
It doesn't stop when you go down that ramp. Anyways, look at this
5:15
Hey, there's a lot that still has to happen before this
5:29
ride and stop and do what a bike's supposed to do. But anyways, that's all for this week
5:37
I'll see you next time
